Who are we? We're a specialist consultancy that helps organisations minimise the risks associated with major change programmes. We operate in two very specific areas - both with a focus on ensuring delivery of Change. These are ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT and PROGRAMME GOVERNANCE CONSULTING. We have brought together a multi-disciplinary team of Change Management & OD specialists who can objectively assess risks, reduce cost and mentor you through the process. The result is Clear Direction and a Good Night’s Sleep. The company was formed in 1994 and has been providing consultancy, project & programme management and related services to clients ever since. On average each of our principals have blue-chip experience stretching back more than 25 years. Their experience has ranged from the boardrooms of multinationals to technical & senior managerial roles across an impressive range of organisations.
ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT To bridge the gap we have developed a powerful combination of expertise that brings together mixed teams of HR and other Change specialists. The result is a strong focus on bringing together all the management disciplines. It also means that we can more than hold our own when the going gets tough outside the HR Department. We can speak to Sales People, Back-Office Staff or Technical Experts as equals. And let's face it, OD is about understanding the operational aspects of business and effecting positive change. How do we do it? There's nothing like experience. Our senior people have been through Mergers & Acquisitions; Corporate Turn-arounds; International Culture renewal; run multi-national Corporate Excellence programmes and more. They have also worked in management and operational roles in businesses of all scales and across many sectors. Add to this a solid grounding in psychometrics, facilitation and coaching - it all makes up a powerful toolkit. Not for nothing are our Team sought out to mentor students at some of Europe's top Business Schools. They understand what works and why and are keen to pass on their skills and expertise. That translates into intensive Skills Transfer for your HR specialists and management team if you need it. We aim to help your people help your organisation - fast.
PROGRAMME GOVERNANCE CONSULTING What do we do? Through our Probiti approach to Best Practice Programme Governance we help organisations to reduce the risks associated with running complex programmes of change. Our involvement gives an independent audit of what is happening and increases the transparency of the process. This is achieved by separating the running of the Change Programmes from the Top-Level Governance. Experience shows that by remaining detached we help clients to:
In an age of increasing pressure on executives to be seen to be implementing best practice we provide reassurance that change is going to deliver. Many consultancies will advise on managing the governance process - but few completely separate this from actually playing a part in running the programmes themselves. Why are we unique in this area? Many consultancies purport to separate those who offer Programme Management from those who are advising the client on Governance. The poacher is pretending also to be gamekeeper. In our view this is a serious conflict of interests so we will only help to run the governance. With other consultancies, when it comes to asking the very difficult questions there must always remain a doubt as to where loyalties lie. With us there is never any conflict of interests. We only work alongside the senior client management. Also, there is no chance that we will try and sell ourselves into the programme management role - we simply won't take that on. We take pride in our independence and realise that this sets us apart from every other consultancy in the UK. Our consultants continue to develop their skills and experience through continued professional development and involvement in many fields outside our company. In this way we can be sure that they don't get stale and they continue to develop our Best Practice model. What else do we do? The overall theme of our work is Change and therefore we focus on the governance of anything that is related. This can range from mentoring executives on managing complexity and developing creativity, to running the review processes on behalf of Programme Boards. What sort of clients do we support? From multinationals who want specific programmes managed to delivery, to small businesses seeking strategic thinking and creative input. Much of our work is in the private sector assuring significant process changes to deliver performance improvements. We also have experience working with UK Government Departments in areas of process redesign and performance management. What sectors do we cover? These are mainly in the provision of services - Financial Services; Banking; Retailing; Leisure; and IT Service Providers. We have also done important work with Government service organisations. Due to the nature of our involvement the list of sectors covered continues to expand and we will be happy to discuss your requirements. What won't we do? Critically for both ourselves and our clients, we know when to say 'No'. We are not averse to turning down assignments where we believe that our skills are inappropriate or the circumstances are not right. We intend to remain small and focussed - to the benefit of our clients and our specialists. What else can we provide? We are happy for our clients to consult us about other specialists who may be required to support the change in progress. It is our policy never to take introducer fees from those we might recommend. Whether that is an individual or another organisation - if we recommend them it is because we know they are capable of doing the work. We act without bias in the interests of our clients and no-one else. |
